New Update of Privacy Policy and Conditions in iGap

All issues and items about privacy Policy in iGap and terms and conditions have been updated as the following:

Privacy Policy in iGap

For human beings, being authorized to get her/him and her/his information exposed to others is defined as “Privacy” which is so much worthy to iGap –the Iranian Messaging Application.

iGap collects some information and data of yours as the app-users all around the world in order to provide the best services. For instance, it asks you to access you phone number, name, email address and a picture as your profile picture all for user-account. Within the information needed, “phone number” for sending the verification code via SMS by the server in registration processing and “name” for getting you recognized as owner of the account are going to be mostly required.

The exact information about devices by which you may log in will be recorded automatically to keep your privacy safe and prevent from probable misusing your information. As unfortunately it happens, the criminal device will be detected and its session can be terminated to stop working.

Voice call is a service which only the peers (call sender & call receiver) are interfering in-between. For your privacy, server is only responsible for signaling and making a connection between peers, so that it will be disconnected after connection created between peers and even it will not be aware of the exchanged information except for those two.

Sending and receiving messages with any type, making voice call, creating group and channel, looking and finding public pages and users by their username and searching all users nearby through their location are the iGap’s worthwhile services that can be set separately in Privacy Settings section as the user wishes.

In iGap, text messages are always stored on the servers in an encrypted way (for recovering the archive and/or the possibility of getting several devices used to log in the account), so only if both users (sender & receiver) choose to delete chat or clear chat history or even both delete their accounts, the text messages will be removed from servers too. But all other types of messages included files are saved and stored on the iGap’s Cloud storage forever.

Users who get to connect and use iGap from Iran, definitely use the domestic servers, however all others residing in other countries will use international servers from France.

We have to point it out that keys made for users’ messages’ encryption have been saved on independent servers for more safety and no one except the company’s director is aware of server’s location.
