The latest version of iGap through Android systems have remarkable changes in appearance and practically improvements as:

Multimedia and its Settings in Android-iGap

Multi Media

Multi Media is a title in iGap that you can manage and control all Media and files received on your device. In the Android systems you can reach this sections and all its options and make all your received messages managed.

To do this, first tap the icon of three lines at the top left corner of the screen on the main page of your account to see menu. Choose “Settings” and scroll down to see the section “Multi Media”.

Controlling the Internet Usage

Keep Multi Media Files

You can activate this option for saving the received audio, video or voice files on the iGap database. Database is a structured set of data held in a computer, especially one that is accessible in various ways. These databases are usually saved in a format to be accessed and read in devices and computers. If you activate it, any downloaded files can be saved and seen on the app storage any time you want even on offline mode; but if you deactivate this option, for watching any of your files downloaded before you must have an internet connection to download your required file again. Otherwise; the preview picture of the image or video or even voice messages can be seen in a not-downloaded mode.

After tapping this option, you will have two choices which are for the length of storing received and downloaded files in your own cloud storage. If you choose the first choice shown as “1 week”, your stored files can be removed from your cloud storage after one week; but if you choose the second one, you will have them stored on your cloud storage forever.

Auto-download (using Mobile Data)

Activating this option and connecting to your Mobile Data Connection allows your files to be downloaded automatically with no need to tap them for downloading one by one.

After choosing this option, you will have six choices which you can make your decision to download automatically any files you want by checking the box next to each when connected to Mobile Data (for example; if you check GIFs, only received GIFs (not images, videos or any other sort of files) will be downloaded automatically when you connect to your Mobile Data).

Auto-download (using Wi-Fi)

Activating this option and connecting to Wi-Fi Connection allows your files to be downloaded automatically with no need to tap them for downloading one by one.

After choosing this option, you will have six choices which you can make your decision to download automatically any files you want by checking the box next to each when connected to Wi-Fi (for example; if you check videos and GIFs, only received videos and GIFs (not images, voices or any other sort of files) will be downloaded automatically when you connect to Wi-Fi).

Auto-download (using Data Roaming)

Activating this option and connecting to Data Roaming Connection allows your files to be downloaded automatically with no need to tap them for downloading one by one.

After choosing this option, you will have six choices which you can make your decision to download automatically any files you want by checking the box next to each when connected to Data Roaming (for example; if you check “Other Files”, only received files except for videos, images, voices, GIFs and audios will be downloaded automatically when you connect to Data Roaming).

Data Roaming: the feature to use cell phone for sending or receiving audios, data and messages when traveling abroad over and using network of the country of destination.

 

 

Auto-play GIFs

GIF is a lossless format of image files that supports both animated and static images. When you activate this option, all your received GIFs will be played automatically.

Save to Gallery

If you activate this option, all downloadable and downloaded files are going to save and store in your device gallery.

Compress Video

If you make this option on, the size of video you want to send will be reduced automatically and then uploaded for being sent.

Remember! Compressing the large videos to reduce the size will definitely lose its quality.

Trim Video

By trimming, you can cut away any unwanted parts of a video you like to send.

Crop and Resize Photo

You can tap the picture icon among the other icons in the Attachment section and choose a picture you want to send from your gallery. If you had activated this option in Multimedia, you could have cropped and resized the wanted picture and send it then with a new size and part of picture you’d like.

 

Creating a Channel in iGap- Through Android

What is a Channel in iGap?

iGap users are able to share any files, pictures and other documents with anyone they’d like to and even send messages to a community with no restrictions in number. There is no need to create Channels with 5000 members at most, since you can have a virtual space like news channel and share all media with everyone in this world.

To have a channel in iGap app through Android Version, you need to tap the + sign at the bottom right corner of the main page and then tap the channel icon or tap on the icon of three lines at the top-left corner of the main page of your account, so that you will see menu options. 

Choose “New Channel” in order to set a picture for the channel icon, channel name and a brief description about your new channel.

Please touch the + sign to upload your favorite picture for your channel icon through the right path. 

After selecting your ideal picture, crop it to get the best for your channel icon using the crop icon at the top left corner and see your picture in a squared frame. 

Consequently, press CROP in order that the set picture will be shown as the channel icon; then to go to the “Next Step”, type a name –which is mandatory- and a brief description as optional. 

Finally, choose your favorite channel as “Private” or “Public”.

Public Channel: in this channel every one of iGap users can search your channel name and join as its member.

By choosing this kind of channel, you will have a new page about channel information such as “Your Link” field, in which you can type a username as an ID (use A-Z/a-z, 0-9); and go to the next step. Remember, the characters must be at least 5 up to 32.

Private Channel: not everyone using iGap can join this channel, but you also have to add contacts as members of the channel and use the shared media.

Here, go ahead by tapping “Next Step”. There will be shown your contact list whom you are able to select if you like as the channel members. At last you can touch the tick mark on top of the page to see the main page of the channel then. 

Errors of iGap Registration in Android Devices

The Errors in iGap Registration in Android Phones:

If you enter the Verification Code incorrectly several times frequently, you are not allowed to use the application for 15 minutes.

In addition, if entering the Verification Code takes long more than 15 minutes, it will be expired and you cannot use the same code because it’s not valid any more.
